The Learning and Development (LAC) was conducted in Silverio Elementary School last January 24, 2025 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon with the Resource Speakers Leah E. Sudsakorn, JD, Senior Education Program Specialist, Cristy R. Dela Cruz, Master Teacher II, and Mariecris C. Tapia, Teacher III.
Dr. Leah E. Sudsakorn, discussed about the topic on SOGIE Bill. She elaborated that SOGIE Equality Bill (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Expression Equality Bill) is a proposed legislation in the Philippines aimed at preventing discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. Despite being introduced multiple times since the early 2000s, the bill has faced significant challenges and opposition, preventing it from becoming law. Supporters argue that it is essential for protecting the rights and dignity of LGBTQ+ individuals, while opponents often cite cultural and religious reasons for their resistance.
Cristy R. Dela Cruz, shared her topic on Story Writing. The participants were motivated to craft their own story.
Resource Speaker Mariecris C. Tapia talked about Research Writing. She encouraged teachers to write their own Action Research. As their output, they were tasked to submit one research title with three research questions.
Learning Action Cell (LAC) sessions enhance professional development, teaching strategies, and collaborative learning among teachers, benefiting both educators and students.
