Today, September 10, 2024, Silverio Elementary School formally launched S.E.L.A. (SilvES English Literacy Advocate) with the goal of encouraging the use of English language proficiency beyond the classroom. Pupils, teachers, and school administrator through the leadership of the principal, Dr. Analyn A. Tiglao attended the event, which led to a lively atmosphere for the club’s first meeting.

The organizing committee, consisting of English teachers and student volunteers, through the initiative of Dr. Jovelyn C. Milaor, designed a comprehensive plan to ensure the event’s success. This included arranging for speakers, creating promotional materials, and organizing interactive activities to engage the attendees.

Participants gave the launching an excellent feedback. Students expressed excitement and enthusiasm about the opportunities the club offers for improving their English skills in a fun and interactive manner. Teachers noted the event’s effectiveness in generating interest and excitement among students.

The launch of the English Club marked a significant step towards enhancing English language learning. It will also help the pupils to be ready and be equipped with the knowledge and skills that they needed on the different contest that they can join especially journalism and Festival of Talents.

The event was a success, setting a solid foundation for the club’s activities and future growth. The club is expected to play a pivotal role in nurturing students’ language skills and fostering a vibrant English-speaking community within and outside the school.
