SilvES Math, Filipino contenders, qualify in 2023 Citywide Paligsahan

The SilvES Math team grabbed 6.5 slots, shared with PESll, in the Division ranking, after the elimination round from among the forty-six (46) elementary schools in the Division and was included in the top 15 qualifiers along with Jeiah Criszalie J. Dogoy, Grade 6 Section Milaor, who placed 9.5 in Filipino “Paligsahan sa I-ispel Mo”, on Friday February 3.
These qualifiers will vie for the other fourteen (14) contestants in the Grand Final competition which will be held at SM Bicutan on February 8, Wednesday. These Division-wide contests are open for all intermediate pupils, from Grades 4 to 5. Our very own Math teacher- trainers are Ms.Jocylin D. Carbajal, from Grade 4, Mrs. Celeste T. Vergara, Grade 5 and Mr. Marvin D. Canoy, Grade 6. In Filipino, Mrs. Jonalyn P. Beltran, Grade 6. Silverio BHWs undergo Basic Life Support Training
With the help of the FMAG Rescue Team, the Pasay- Paranaque Medical Society (PPMS)- sponsored training, headed by Dr. Laarni Moreno, and in coordination with the School Bulilit Health Workers focal person, Mrs. Cristy Dela Cruz, the students were able to gain experience on how to apply basic life support such as “stop the bleed”, proper bandages and first aid on Monday, January 30 at the school quadrangle. Related to this, Dental Health Talk was also conducted by Dr. Moreno, during the observance of the National Oral Health Month on Tuesday, January 31, highlighting the importance of dental health. SilvES reflects on BER

Silverians join the entire Deped family, watching the Basic Education Report (BER) which was delivered by Vice – President and DepEd Secretary Sara Z. Duterte via Zoom on January 30. The BER was focused on the current state of basic education in the country, plans, and initiatives of Deped to fulfill its mandate. According to VP Sara, several plans and programs are to be created and enhanced to improve the quality of teaching- learning, especially in literacy and numeracy. SH announces mid- year break schedules
The semester break this coming week is announced by Mrs. Marites Coballes, School Principal, on Friday, February 3. The 5-day school break is set from February 6 to 10, while February 13, which falls on Monday, is also a no class, for it is Paranaque Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 14. BP on its second Saturday, a Success

Another successful Saturday for Brigada Pagbasa Team happened on February 4, with the supportive volunteers from different sectors like PNP- ParaƱaque, Gotec, Datamex, San Agustin, Regis Marie, and anonymous volunteers. BSP Silverio does Proper Hand Washing
After a series of training, which was reechoed by the scout- participants from a three-day First Area Advancement Camp, the boy scouts did the proper hand washing with their Scout masters, Dr. Mario Madriaga, Sctr. Analie Parallag and Sctr. Mark Raven Matias, who accompanied the scouts in the said Advancement training.
