Despite the busy schedules of teachers and the School Principal, still the onsite oath taking ceremony was successfully conducted on October 21, Friday, attended by the newly-elected School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA), Board of Directors (BOD), Council of Representatives, (CoR), Faculty Club, Supreme Pupil Government (SPG), Non- Teaching Personnel (NTP) and Journalism. This engagement was also graced by the Barangay San Isidro Chief Administrator, Mr Alfred Agor who served as the inducting officer on behalf of the Barangay Chairman, Hon. Noel Japlos, Councilor Marvin Santos, along with the representative of Councilor Sheila Gabriel. Mrs. Marites Coballes welcomed the guests in her opening message. Messages from Mr. Agor and Councilor Santos were heard by the attendees. The SPG presented a lively dance number and awarding of certificates to the outgoing GPTA Officers was done to recognize their utmost support in our school for the past two and a half years. Turn- over of duties was also administered with Mr. Luciano Forbes, SPTA President, who accepted the challenge with Mr. Alfred Agor and Councilor Marvin Santos who gave the challenge. The closing remarks was delivered by the faculty president, Mrs. Analie Parallag. Doctor Jovelyn Milaor, Master Teacher 1, served as the event moderator. An early dinner was served after the said ceremony. Oath taking is an important ceremonial gesture signifying the official start to one’s term in office, to have public commitment to the duties, responsibilities and obligations in accordance with holding ones position. XxxxxxxxxxX > Councilor Marvin Santos donates electric fans SilvES received sixteen (16) pieces of electric fans from Councilor Marvin Santos as he graced the Oath taking ceremony on October 21, Friday at the school quadrangle. These additional electric fans are to be put in some classrooms and in other areas of the school, to ease the heat that would be felt by the children. XxxxxxxxxxX
Silverian Teachers attend virtual SLAC session
The teachers took time to attend the online School Learning Action Cell ( SLAC) on October 22, Saturday at 4: o’clock in the afternoon via Google Meet, with the two Master Teachers and one other as discussants. Dr. Jovelyn Milaor slightly tackled and discussed the RPMS grading system while Mrs. Cynthia Begino, LIS-BEIS school coordinator, presented the grading system. Mrs. Rina Tardecilla, school ICT coordinator provided the e-SAT informations on how to accomplish it. Doctor Mario Madriaga, delivered the opening remarks on behalf of the Principal, Mrs. Marites Coballes and his closing remarks at the same time. LAC session is a Deped program that aims to create professional learning communities that will help teachers to have a wider scope of teaching contents and methodologies. XxxxxxxxxxX
UN Fever is On
Every grade level from Kindergarten to Grade 6 presented their respective bets this week, in the search for 2022 Mr. & Miss United Nations to be revealed on Monday, October 24, in the celebration of the United Nations Day, facilitated by Mr. Lawrence Albes, AP school coordinator and an overall chair of the program, along with the grade level advisers. The Silverio Elementary School joins the entire Deped community in celebrating the United Nations Day, with the theme ” Gender Equality Today, for a Sustainable Tomorrow,” This day is being celebrated because it is the official day to appreciate the diversity of cultures, religions and languages all over the world.
